Newton Abbot charity Life Chance Trust will be headlining the Teignmouth Promenade parkrun on Saturday (June 28) to raise awareness of the work it does to support young people who have experienced a challenging start to life.
One of the runners taking part in the takeover on behalf of the Life Chance Trust is the charity’s trustee Alex Lyons, who will be running 10 miles before completing the 5k course along Teignmouth seafront as part of his challenge to run 50 half marathons in 50 weeks ahead of his 50th birthday.
Last month eleven runners took part in the Great West Run, running either 10k or a half marathon, and raised just under £4,000 for Life Chance Trust.
