TWO Dartmoor lovebirds were reunited for Christmas after one of them decided to go for a fly around its village.

Parrot Jewel hatched a plan of escape from her Hennock home last Friday morning leaving mate Samuel pining and distraught.

Fortunately for Jewel she didn’t make it very far before the high winds and driving rain hit the region at midday.
