A DRIVER suffered serious injuries after their BMW overturned on the M5 as police seek witnesses with dashcam footage.

Officers were called at around 9.40am on Sunday, August 10 to the southbound carriageway between junction 28 and 29 following reports of a collision.

The collision involved a blue BMW 320 and a grey Skoda Karoq.

During the incident the BMW overturned and came to rest on its roof.

The driver was taken to hospital with a serious injury, one of the passengers was also taken to hospital to be checked for minor injuries.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: ‘Anyone who may have witnessed the collision and have not spoken to police yet are asked to please make contact as soon as possible – in particular anyone with Dashcam footage or CCTV, are asked to contact us on 101 or via the police website quoting log number 284 10/08/2025’.
