A small group of students from the Teignmouth Shotokan Karate Club have graded, with many of the juniors doing so for the first time after several months of basic training.
'The students are graded in all physical aspects of traditional karate, with some of the younger participants demonstrating physical and mental skills far greater than expected, showing great promise given their short experience of karate,' said instructor Paul Dart.
