An inquest has opened into the death of a man who went missing from a holiday park near Chudleigh.

Jason Regent, a 48-year-old chef who lived in the Torquay area, was named as the man who had been found dead after being reported missing from Finlake Holiday Park earlier this year.

Police had received reports that a man had gone missing from the holiday resort on Tuesday March 4 this year and conducted an immediate search.

Officers subsequently found Jason’s body in a small stream at the resort the following day (March 5).

At the inquest opening, the cause of death was given as mixed drug toxicity.
