POLICE have praised a member of the public who stepped in to help during an incident in Exeter that saw a man tasered.
Reports of a male acting aggressively prompted officers to mobilise to Exeter city centre earlier today, Monday, June 23.
The man assaulted multiple members of the public and caused damage to a shop’s sign.
Police deployed a taser and the man was arrested.
A spokesperson for Exeter Police said: ‘During this incident, a brave member of public assisted Police with detaining the male, this member of public went above and beyond to protect others and officers.
‘Exeter Police are extremely grateful to such individuals who step in to help them in very challenging situations’.
