COUNCILLORS in Kingsteignton are to hold an extraordinary meeting to decide whether to press ahead with trying to take over the Devon County Council-owned community resource centre.

The redundant building and spacious grounds has been empty for more than a year and the town council had hoped to take it over for a token sum under asset transfer.

But despite a detailed 40-page busi- ness plan outlining the vision for the centre, Devon County Council has decided to sell the site on the open market.
