MORE than 800 people turned out to pay tribute and remember the life of popular Teignbridge sportsman and businessman Duncan Christophers,

St Andrew's Church, Ashburton, was packed with 400 mourners with as many again in the churchyard listening to the emotional service over a public address system.

Sports clubs from across the area were out in force.

the coffin, which was decorated with ties from all the teams he was linked with, was carried into the church by former rugby teammates from the Newton Abbot All Whites Devon Senior Cup winning side from 2004.
