WITH the Newton’s Got Talent final taking place next week the acts are preparing to snap up some great prizes and now another reward has been chucked into the mix.
The lucky winner of the competition will be added to the already growing bill at this year’s Lemonfest, which takes place at Newton Abbot Racecourse.
Any of the 13 acts performing in front of a judging panel and live audience could win their 15 minutes of fame at the event, which more than 4,500 people attended last year.
Other prizes include a recording studio session, chance to perform at other local events and tickets to Glas-Denbury music festival.
Tickets are still on sale for the event and are available from the Mid-Devon Advertiser office at 63 Wolborough Street, Coombeshead Academy, Coombeshead Road and the Tourist Information Centre in Newton Abbot Market Hall.
Tickets can also be bought by calling 01626 362070.
The show begins at 7.30pm on Thursday, February 25, at Bushell Theatre, Coombeshead Academy.
An auction will be taking place which includes a luxury apartment holiday in St Ives and meals at local restuarants.
But the fate of the contestants lie in the hands of the judges, who are Cllr Jeremy Christophers, leader of Teignbridge Council; Sally Henley, Newton Abbot Town Centre Development Manager; Matthew Shanks, Coombeshead Academy principal and internationally recorded artist and double bass player Pete Furnish.
