A TEIGNMOUTH blood cancer patient joined a celebrity TV doctor to become a national charity ambassador at the Houses of Parliament.

Brett Grist, 43, was guest of honour with Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies television doctor Dawn Harper.

Brett was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, an aggressive type of blood cancer, in 2014. He’s now an official ‘patient ambassador’ for the blood cancer charity Bloodwise, after the launch event hosted by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP, and Alastair Campbell.
