THE father of Bobby Wright, a three-year-old from Kenn who has undergone treatment for a rare form of childhood cancer, fears it may be returning. Kevin Wight says Bobby's latest blood test indicated that it might be making a comeback. Bobby's family have been trying to raise £200,000 to send him for pioneering treatment available only in America. He has had all the therapy he could in the UK. They have so far raised just more than £130,000, £30,000, of which has come from Dawlish and Teignmouth residents. Mr Wright said: 'I am very worried and don't know what to do. If the cancer comes back there is very little left for him in this country. 'The results show that things are not right and there's clearly something going on. 'I'm doing everything I can and have even tried to borrow the money. 'The sooner we have it, the sooner he can start the treatment. If we don't act now, I fear it could be too late.' Fundraising activities continue thick and fast, with volunteers making phone calls to sell raffle tickets from Mr Wrights rented accommodation. Mr Wright added: The crucial factor now is not whether we will get the money, but just how quickly we will get it.' Call 01392 834857 or 07940 791375 if you would like to help or make a donation.
