CREATIVE card designers met Newton Abbot MP Anne Marie Morris, who presented them with framed copies of the designs they’d entered in her annual Christmas card competition.

The politician visited Kingsteignton’s St Michael’s Primary School and presented the gifts to Ben Smith, Hannah Smith and Tilda Lakey.

In addition, as part of a surprise celebration assembly, all three received ‘highly commended’ certificates together with a large goody bag.

Headteacher Karen West said: ‘The trio were shocked at being put under the spotlight, as none of them had known beforehand they were in line for any recognition.

‘We are extremely proud to have such talented artists in our school.’
