NO serious injuries were sustained by those involved in a four-vehicle collision involving a lorry on the A38 this morning, police have confirmed.

Officers were called at around 6.40am on Wednesday, July 29, after receiving reports of the crash on the Devon Expressway, near Kennford.

Devon & Cornwall Police confirmed that nobody involved suffered serious injuries.

Recovery work was handed over to National Highways.

The incident caused delays on the eastbound carriageway between the A379 at Kennford and the M5 Junction 31 turn-off.

Traffic built up as far as Ashcombe on the A380 and Chudleigh on the A38, before the road was cleared and reopened at around 9.30am.
