A 'FAILING' Teignmouth primary school has been rocked by a scathing Ofsted report.
Our Lady & St Patrick's, which has more than 200 pupils, was branded 'inadequate' – the bottom ranking – in three of the four categories and put into 'special measures'.
The headteacher, Anne-Marie McIntosh, has quit, but the governors insisted they had reacted quickly to instigate improvements.
In their report, the inspectors, who checked the school in November, said standards had declined since the last visit in January 2012, and declared: 'Teaching is inadequate because too little is expected of the pupils. Often the work is too easy, especially for the more able.'
