THE recent May Bank Holiday saw police in Teignmouth

Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Policing Team received reports of young people throwing eggs at people and cars on Monday, May 26.

A young male was arrested for theft, while four others are under investigation for theft and assault, police say.

‘If we receive anti-social behaviour reports, when they happen, we can deal with them robustly’ a spokesperson for Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Policing Team said.

The eggs were stolen from Co-op on Bank Street, the Mid-Devon Advertiser can confirm.

‘A big thank you to at least two members of the public who assisted the single crewed arresting officer when other young people attempted to stop him’ the spokesperson added.
