A TEIGNMOUTH club that has donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to charities and organisations over the years, has just dished out another big sum.

The Rotary Club of Teignmouth shared out £4,500 among six groups during a presentation dinner at the local golf club.

All the money was raised from two of the club's major events of the year, the annual golf competition and the picnic in the marquee at Trinity School.

This year £1,000 was given to the Devon Air Ambulance, Hospice Care and the Helen Foundation, with £500 going to the Alice Cross Centre, the Devon Free Wheelers and Clic Sargent.
