A VILLAGE store in Teignbridge is cock-a-hoop after being voted the best in the west – and the rest of the UK.

Central Convenience and Model Stores in Abbotskerswell saw off more than 100 rivals across the country to scoop the honour.

Shop manager Chris Stansfield is thrilled to bits that the hard work of her team has been rewarded by the Bestway empire which hosted the awards in Crewe over the weekend.
