THE northbound carriageway of the A38 will close overnight from 8pm tonight, Thursday, March 26, for highways maintenance.

The closure, which will remain in place until 6am on Friday, March 27, is to allow National Highways to carry out patching works to the road.

The Chudleigh bypass will be affected by the closure, National Highways says.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for journeys and check traffic updates.
