A TRIO of Teignmouth walkers are trekking up the UK's highest three peaks for charity.

Neil Howell, Rich Matthews and Liam Sydenham are taking up the challenge for Teignmouth's Alice Cross Community Centre for the over 50s, on the weekend of June 20.

Mr Howell, who also runs the Walk This Way programme for older people in Teignmouth, said: 'Three Peaks for Alice is a venture to try to raise £1,000 for the Alice Cross centre, through sponsorship of an extreme physical challenge.

'We will be walking the three highest peaks in the UK – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – in 24 hours.
