TEIGNMOUTH Regatta week came to a spectacular close with a flurry of events.

The ever popular Adults Build ’n’ Race a Raft Race, sponsored by the Ship inn Teignmouth Estuary Pub & Eatery was a spectacular event, with several newbies taking part which is always great to see.

A spokesperson said: ‘We had some great fancy dress from When the Ship hits the fan and Operation Ouch.

‘The final was won, in style, by The Natives, followed by newbies When The Ship Hits The Fan & The Courgettes & Sea Sports bringing up the rear!

‘The new trophy (Spirit of the raft race) The Andy Cope Memorial Trophy The King Billy was awarded to When The Ship Hits The Fan for an amazing performance and always smiling.

‘A huge thank you to Damien Pope Jason’s Garden Higher Teignmouth Farm for donating the yoga balls for the raft race final and the trug buckets for Wednesday night’s Human hungry hippos and of course to Claire Twitchin Photography for the fabulous photos.

‘First raft race of the day on Saturday was the Junior Raft Race, kindly sponsored by Ship inn Teignmouth Estuary Pub & Eatery and what a great event just look at all those smiles!

‘Thank you to everyone who took part and to SeaSports Southwest for providing all the equipment and safety boat cover.’
