A TERRIFIED five-year old Teignmouth girl was savaged by two pit bull terriers in a local park.
She was bitten on the leg and scratched on the face, but fortunately the dogs were called off by their owner before they inflicted more serious injuries.
Elsie-Rose Spencer and her mother Karen, of Valley Road, were left shocked by the attack and have warned other parents to be on their guard.
'I was still shaking the day after. It could have been so much worse. Owners of these types of dog should keep them muzzled and on leads at all times,' said Mrs Spencer.
