A POLICE helicopter has been circling Newton Abbot for the last 30 minutes, assisting with 'enquiries following a report of concerns for the welfare of a woman.'

The Helicopter was first spotted hovering over the centre of town at about 3pm.

Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed that officers are also in the area helping to address the issue.
