NEWTON Abbot Town Council will be continuing its survey of post office use in a bid to keep the Market Walk Post Office open. A one-week survey will be carried out in April at Market Walk, to be followed by a survey at the post office at Costcutter. The Market Walk survey will take place during school time from April 3 to April 8. Three people will record the number of people entering the post office and the number of counters open, and establish how many post office users are disabled. The same questions will later be asked at the post office in Costcutter. The council will concentrate on highways issues during the planning appeal on August 15 and 16. Cllr Daphne Watts will represent the town council at the appeal.
