A Newton Abbot-based funeral directors has reinstated its letters to heaven postbox ahead of Father’s Day.

Parkers Independent Family Funeral Directors hopes its special postbox will enable anyone to send a card, letters or pictures to dads or father figures who have passed away.

‘We hope this postbox can provide some comfort to those who wish to use it,’ said a spokeseperson from Parkers.

The silver postbox is located outside Parkers’ premises on Devon Square and is available to use this week and over the weekend.

The installation of the postbox to heaven comes after similar initiatives at Christmas and Mother’s Day proved successful.
