The Mid-Devon Advertiser series has been praised for its part in promoting a project that puts convicted offenders to supervised work in the community.
Last summer, reporter Nigel Canham joined forces with the Devon and Cornwall Probation Trust to produce a series of articles in which the role of Project Payback was explained.
The public were encouraged to say where they would like the free labour put to good use in their neighbourhoods and as a result communities across south Devon and Dartmoor have benefited.
