Anna started the day by guiding the children through various clay modelling techniques. After starting out with pinch pots and coil pots, which were used as the basis for some pufferfish, the children went on to make landscapes using relief sculpture before being given free reign to create their own designs.

After learning about the various clay modelling techniques, children at Teignmouth Primary School were given free reign to create their own deisgns.

‘There was a buzz of excitement across the whole day,’ a spokesperson from Teignmouth Primary School commented.

Staff and children said they were very grateful to Anna for the workshop, which was put on through the arts-inspired learning programme, Daisi Arts, and funded by The Helen Foundation.
