Seven fire crews are fighting a blaze at Paignton Railway Station this morning (Tuesday, July 21).
Fire fighters from Paignton, Torquay, Brixham, Newton Abbot, Totnes and Honiton were called out just before 6am are tackling the fire using eight breathing apparatus kits, two hose reel jets, two main jets and two thermal imaging cameras
The fire has caused disruption on the lines all trains terminating at Newton Abbot Railway Station
A spokesman for National Rail said: “A fire at Paignton station means that the line is blocked. As a result, all trains are terminating at Newton Abbot instead of Paignton meaning Torre, Torquay and Paignton will have no trains.”
Disruption is expected until 2pm with a replacement bus service in operation.
