A Teignmouth-based female choir has donated over £2,500 to local charities following a fundraising concert last month.
Red Rock A Cappella donated £2,168 to the Alice Cross Centre to support its work in providing a welcoming space for exercise, education and enjoyment for all.
The singers also presented Friends of Teignmouth Orangery and Rowcroft Hospice with cheques for £250 each.
Red Rock A Cappella is ‘proud to lend support to various local organisations,’ a spokesperson said.
The concert at St Peter’s Church in Shaldon on Friday May 2 featured a varied programme including ‘Mr Blue Sky’, ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Songbird’. The ladies in red were supported by the Torbay Police Choir.
Red Rock A Cappella will be performing at St Michael’s in Teignmouth on Thursday June 26 as part of the church’s annual flower festival.
