HANGING baskets in Bovey Tracey's main street have become a blooming nuisance to some of the town's residents.Several of them signed a letter asking the town council not to allow its staff to give the plants a drink early in the morning because it disturbed their sleep. The council was also accused of paying anti-social hours pay. Cheryl McGuire, of Fore Street, told Monday's council meeting that while it was wonderful for Bovey Tracey to have the hanging baskets, people did not realise that they were watered at 5am or 6am. 'I know it sounds very petty to everyone else, but when you have a sound like a pneumatic drill at 6am, it is really bad. 'You are woken up at ten to six or whatever time every day apart from Sundays. Last year it was every day. 'I have had enough and other residents have signed the letter as well,' she said
