A RIFLE club in a Dartmoor village has recently celebrated its 80th year.
Under the command of Lieutenant Jack Gould, the Lustleigh Home Guard formed a rifle club in 1944 after they were stood down following World War II.
And the club has continued unbroken to the day, with it celebrating its 80th anniversary this month.
Present and past members, as well as family and friends, marked the milestone with a special lunch at Bovey Tracey Golf Club.
The club practice every Tuesday at 7pm in the winter months at Lustleigh Village Hall.
It’s oldest member is more than 100-years-old and was among one of its founding members.
The club is always on the lookout for new members - contact Dale via [email protected].
