VOLUNTEER lifeboat crew from Teignmouth were called into action twice this morning (Sunday, August 16) after their pagers sounded just before 7am.
The crew quickly launched the B-class lifeboat following reports of an overturned regatta dinghy.
One casualty was brought ashore and handed into the care of ambulance crews.
The volunteers then relaunched to recover the dinghy, which had been taken alongside a nearby yacht.
At 8.30am, Solent Coastguard requested the crew’s assistance again, this time to a motorboat in difficulty.
The lifeboat reached the vessel and provided assistance before returning to station.
After being recovered and refuelled, the lifeboat was ready for service by 9.30am.
