TEIGNMOUTH and Shaldon Sea Cadets have been given a £610 cash boost thanks to fundraisers. The Inner Wheel Club of Teignmouth presented £300 through its president's charity. The money was raised through a number of events throughout the year, kickstarted by a Day on the Den. London Marathon runner Roger Hayes presented the group with a cheque for £310. He ran for the charity in the marathon, which he completed in two hours 57 minutes. Mr Hayes averaged 6.35 – 6.40 minute miles and his time instantly qualifies him for next year's event. Mr Hayes' next run is the Berlin Marathon in September.
