Chudleigh Knighton hall was a sea of colour, when the village held its annual flower show on Saturday. Vegetables and flowers in an array of colours filled the competition tables.

'We had between 50 and 70 entries,' said Sally Payton, who was one of the organisers.

'We had a great turn out and the judges said that the standard was very high.

'I'd like to thank all those who were involved in arranging the show, those who took part and those who supported it.'

A raffle, with prizes including a meal for two at the Claycutters Arms, raised £82.

Some of the entries were auctioned at the end of the event and further £14 was collected.

Proceeds will go to Chudleigh Knighton Village Hall.

Organisers would like to hear from volunteers who would like to get involved with helping out with arranging the show next year. Email, Sally Payton at: [email protected]">[email protected].
