TWO men suspected of passing dud £50 Bank of Scotland notes in Newton Abbot and Ipplepen, are being sought by police. The notes were passed between 1.30pm and 2.10pm on Wednesday of last week, in a classic sting by paying for low-priced items and pocketing the change. They were used at Somerfields, Boots and WHSmith in Newton Abbot, and Fermoy's Garden Centre, near Ipplepen. Four notes were recovered, with two of each bearing the same serial numbers AA613551 and ABO36536. Police have released this picture of the man at Fermoy's. He is in the white T-shirt to the right of the check-outs. Anyone who recognises the men or who has any information is asked to contact PC Alan Wenman, at Newton Abbot police station, quoting the log number 683-080206.
