STUDENTS at Teign School in Kingsteignton celebrated a bumper crop of A level results. After two years hard work.

Among the achievers was Maya Fairs who gained four A* results including drama.

She has taken part in all school productions, is a Drama Ambassador and ran the Year 8 Drama group. Maya was a House Captain and is going on to study drama at Birmingham.

'I've worked myself really hard and results were exactly what I was hoping for,' she said.

Harry Ratcliffe, also a House Captain, has secured a Civil Engineering Higher Level Apprentice.

Alannah Bond secured excellent results including a C in Geography and a Distinction * in Health and Social Care.

She has chosen to go directly into employment and has secured a position with InFocus.

Teign Sixth Form College has recently invested in dedicated sixth form facilities, including a separate entrance, study spaces, common room, café and garden, while every student receives a laptop to support their studies.

With many students progressing to Russell Group and Oxbridge universities, apprenticeships and skilled employment,, Teign Sixth Form College says it ‘continues to provide an ambitious and personalised education that prepares young people for success in higher education, training and future careers’.
