Teignbridge's motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• A38, from 7pm October 16 to 6am December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay to Goodstone lane closure for S278, junction improvement works. Minor local authority, junction closed, eastbound, traffic diverted via Goodstone junction. Westbound, traffic diverted via A38 westbound to Linhay and return to Goodstone to exit.

And a further 10 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A38, from 7pm November 20 to 6am November 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Dartbridge lane closure for structure maintenance.

• A38, from 8pm November 20 to 4am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Chudleigh to Harcombe lane closure for barrier repair.

• A30, from 8pm November 20 to 6am November 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Woodleigh to Fingle Glen carriageway closure for resurfacing, diversion via Tedburn St Mary.

• A38, from 8pm November 21 to 4am November 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 Both Directions Chudleigh to Harcombe lane closures for barrier repair.

• A38, from 8pm November 23 to 4am November 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Harcombe to Belvedere Cross lane closures for barrier repair.

• A30, from 9pm November 28 to 6am November 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, M5, junction 31 exit slip road to M5 closed for electrical works, diversion via A38 southbound to Kennford and Return.

• A30, from 7pm November 29 to 6am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Cheriton Bishop to Whiddon Down lane closure and convoy for carriageway surfacing works.

• A30, from 8pm November 29 to 5.30am November 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 eastbound, exit slip road to A30 westbound, at M5, junction 31 closure for horticulture, diversion for non-motorway traffic via Wobbly Wheel exit, A379, Bad Homburg Way, Alphin Brook Road to A30 Alphington, diversion for motorway traffic via M5, junction 30 and return to junction 31.

• A38, from 8pm November 30 to 4am December 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Kennford exit slip road closure for drainage, diversion via A38, exit at Chudleigh and return via A38, exit at Halden Hill, A380 to Kennford.

• A30, from 8pm December 4 to 6am December 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 31 exit slip road to A30 closed for surveys, diversion via A38 southbound to Kennford and return.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
