Teignbridge's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:
• A38, from 7pm October 7 to 6am October 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Goodstone entry slip and Linhay exit slip closures including exit and entry for local, junction Alston Cross with convoy working for Horticultural works, Goodstone entry diversion via - A383, Old Hill Bickington, Coldeast and rejoin A38 at Drumbridges, Linhay exit slip diversion via - A38 westbound to Peartree, junction and return. Alston Cross entry via local roads.
And a further four closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A38, from 7pm October 15 to 6am October 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay entry slip closure including exit and entry for local, junction Alston Cross with convoy working for Horticultural works, diversion via - A38 westbound to Peartree, junction and return. Alston Cross entry via local roads.
• A30, from 7pm October 16 to 6am October 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 eastbound, Alphington carriageway closure for electrical works. Diversion via the exit and entry slip roads.
• A38, from 7pm October 22 to 6am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 westbound, Linhay entry slip closure with convoy working for Horticultural works, diversion via - A38 eastbound to Goodstone A383 and rejoin A38.
• A38, from 7pm October 24 to 6am October 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A38 westbound, Peartree to Dartbridge - carriageway closure for horticultural works, diversion via old A38 to Dartbridge.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
