A NEW music centre for Teignmouth has risen from the wreckage of a youth facility forced to close last year.

The Pulse is no more, but now, instead, there is The Cave at the old Eastcliff Centre, that folded when the Teignmouth Community Association went bust.

The aim is to offer a quality, affordable rehearsal space for the many talented young musicians in the area.

The venue will also offer instruction on various instruments, master classes, and advice on how to improve sound and on marketing and promotion.

It is also hoped to help link musicians through open-mic evenings and jams.
