POLICE have made three arrests following an assault in Clampitt Lane, Teignmouth, in which a 14-year-old boy suffered an alleged stab wound to his leg at around 6.50pm on Sunday.
The victim was taken to hospital and required stitches to a minor injury. He has since been discharged.
Officers, including armed units, attended the incident and carried out patrols of the area. Inquiries are ongoing. Detectives are appealing for information and have urged witnesses, or anyone who may have filmed the incident, to come forward.
Motorists who were in Wellington Street/Orchard Gardens between 6pm and 7.30pm are also being asked to check any dashcam footage.

Two 15-year-old boys from Paignton and a 19-year-old man from Torquay have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. They have been released on police bail until September 14 while inquiries continue.
