THE moment that Teignbridge residents have been waiting for is finally here.

Ticket details for this year’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend will be announced tomorrow on the BBC Radio 1, most probably on the breakfast show.

Fans have been waiting for details since it was revealed earlier this year that the music spectacle will be held at Powderham Castle on May 28 and 29.

It is thought that priority will be given to people with Teignbridge and Exeter postcodes as both councils have paid money to put the event on.

In previous years, people who live closer to the venue were given a higher chance of getting free tickets.

Festival goers, hoping to attend Europe’s biggest free ticket event, will be able to watch the likes of Coldplay and Ellie Goulding.

Other acts playing at the event include Bring Me the Horizon, Craig David, Chase & Status, Jake Bugg and The 1975.

The full line-up for the flagship music event will be revealed on Radio 1 over the coming months.
