THE arrival of the Morrisons supermarket at Teignmouth should be seen as an opportunity for traders to benefit, rather than a threat.
That was the feeling among most town councillors at the annual parish meeting on Tuesday.
Trader Chris Houghton queried whether the town council and Teignbridge Council, which both supported the development at Broadmeadow, had the good of the town centre at heart.
Past mayor Cllr David Cox said anything that kept people in Teignmouth to shop rather than going to stores elsewhere had to be a good thing.
