A CRASH on the M5 has led to significant traffic queuing up to the A38.

The northbound carriageway is currently closed following the accident, which happened at around 8am this morning, Thursday, April 23, at Junction 31.

Devon & Cornwall Police have said the crash involved a car and a motorbike.

The rider has been injured, though the extent of the injuries is not known.

Traffic has become congested as far back as the junction for Exeter Racecourse on the A38.

National Highways say there are delays of 30 minutes and three miles of congestion on approach.

Emergency services remain at the scene.
