FOR the second time this year, Teignbridge Council are dealing with a group of travellers who moved onto their own land at its Newton Abbot headquarters.

A number of vans, caravans and cars arrived at the car park at the authority’s building at Forde House on Sunday.

Teignbridge Council says it is ‘open as usual’ for those people who have appointments.

The council said: ‘We would advise anyone attending to travel by public transport, walk or cycle where possible, or to park at one of our car parks in the town and walk to Forde House.

‘Limited parking will be available for those with mobility issues.

‘We will keep residents updated as the situation changes’.
