TWO people had to be cut free from their car by firefighters after it crashed down a sharp bank and ended up in a wooded area in Teigngrace.

Firefighters from Ashburton, Bovey Tracey and Middlemoor dealth with the crash yesterday evening, Friday.

Fire Control reports: ‘Two fire engines and a heavy rescue unit, were all sent to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision.

‘On arrival crews confirmed this vehicle had left the roadway and gone down a sharp bank into a wooded area.

‘Two people were physically trapped in the vehicle and were removed by crews using hydraulic cutting equipment and small tools.

‘The casualties were handed over to Paramedics on scene.’
