TRADESMEN are being warned of being offered stolen tools for sale following a burglary in South Devon.

Police have been notified following the burglary at a property that is currently under development in the Babbacombe Road area of Torquay.

The burglary took place between 12am and 12.30am on Sunday, April 19 and saw power tools belonging to four tradesmen worth more than £23,000 stolen from the property.

A spokesperson for Devon & Cornwall Police said: ‘Detectives investigating the offence are urging people to be wary of anyone offering to sell them power tools - particularly Makita, Milwaukee and Dewalt brands.

‘Anybody who has been approached with tools for sale, who may have been a victim of tool theft themselves, or has information or relevant footage regarding the Babbacombe Road burglary is asked to call 101 or visit our website quoting 50260098097’.
