HUNDREDS braved the waves at Teignmouth on Boxing Day for a gentle stroll, in some cases sprint, into the chilly waters of the English Channel.

There was, of course, method in their madness, as this was Teignmouth’s annual Walk into Sea, back after a three year hiatus, and a major fundraiser for the local RNLI.

Speedos, bikinis  and board shorts were not necessary the swimwear of choice with many participants opted for the fancy-dress choice
