Sponsors and supporters of Craft Festival have gathered at MAKE Southwest to celebrate the lasting local partnerships that help enable this popular not-for-profit event to be hosted in Bovey Tracey each June.

Over 10,000 people attend Craft Festival and this year the event will celebrates it’s 22nd show when it gets underway in the town’s Mill Marsh Park between June 12 and 14.

Around 200 designer-makers have been selected for this year’s festival, with exhibitors ranging from established national names to emerging makers from Devon and the wider South West.

To coincide with festival and in partnership with Bovey for Business, visitors are being invited to step into Bovey Tracey too and discover a celebration of craft, creativity, and local history. From June 1 to 29 , Bovey Tracey will host a Town Trail through independent shops and spaces, where exceptional contemporary makers from MAKE Southwest are paired with fascinating historic venues.

From handwoven textiles and vibrant ceramics to glass, botanical printmaking and more, each stop reveals both outstanding making and the stories of the buildings that house them. Visitors are invited to collect a map, go to each venue, get their maps stamped and be entered into a great prize bundle, kindly donated by each Trail venue.

Sarah James MBE, Director of Craft Festival said: “The Craft Festival Trail gives us the opportunity to showcase great makers from MAKE Southwest whilst also highlighting the history of our high street and the fantastic retailers that we have in the town.

“I hope visitors enjoy exploring Bovey and collecting the Trails stamps along the way. I am delighted that Craft Festival can support businesses in Bovey.”
