A woman and two children have been trapped in their car after a collision with a lorry at Ipplepen this lunchtime.

The accident happened, according to an ambulance spokesman, near Southern Timber, on the main Newton Abbot to Totnes road.

The road is closed with traffic queuing for quite a distance in both directions.

All emergency services, including two air ambulances, are on scene.

The woman, who has not yet been named, is said to have arm and leg injuries. One child has a neck injury, the other a nasal injury.
