Mid Devon Cycling Club clinches podium finishes at National Trophy Round Three.

MID Devon Cycling Club (MDCC) riders delivered a series of standout performances at the challenging third round of the National Trophy race series in Clanfield, on Saturday, November 1.

The well-established, technical course, set on a demanding hillside and dampened by race-time rain, proved to be an excellent stage for the club's competitors.

Super Vet Robin Delve, racing for only the second time this season in the National Trophy, delivered a phenomenal ride which earned him a spot on the podium.

Delve had a strong start, quickly moving into sixth position. He demonstrated remarkable grit and race craft, battling his way up to fourth place with one lap remaining.

Making a decisive move on the final lap, Delve pulled clear of the competition to secure a fantastic third-placed finish on the podium.

Meanwhile, in the Veteran Women’s 60+ category, MDCC athletes continued their impressive run of results.

Killer Kilburn secured another excellent result by finishing in second place, joining Robin on their respective podiums. This top two finish adds to her consistently great performances in the National Trophy series.

Last but not least, Jackie Shute powered through the demanding conditions to finish in seventh place, marking her second top ten finish of the series.

The results from Clanfield underscore the strength and determination of Mid Devon Cycling Club's veteran riders on the national stage.

Congratulations go to this trio mentioned for their hard work and determination and also to all other MDCC members for always putting maximum effort in.
