MID Devon Cycling Club had members competing recently at Chepstow Racecourse in the joint Welsh and Western League event.

They delivered some great results in this well-attended female-only cyclocross race of 45 competitors.

Kila Kilburn led the way, dominating the V60 category and taking first place. Also with a strong ride was Jackie Shute, who had a strong ride to claim third place in the V50 age group.

The large female turnout is certainly a promising sign ahead of the South West Champs!

Elsewhere, in the Wessex League, Eva Fox had a great performance of her own, taking second place in the Junior Woman cyclocross event at Swindon.

Looking ahead now and best of luck and best wishes to the MDCC 'crossers for the upcoming National Trophy race in Clanfield, which is taking place this weekend.
